KIDS COME FIRST CHILD CARE CENTRE - THORNHILL, ON

have worked at this company for about a year now and I can truly say that I absolutely HATE it!! When is comes to the children, they are treated quite well, but the staff is looked at like garbage. The supervisors make changes within the company and do not even try to include their employees… or get their opinion. There is this one specific supervisor that will literally walk right by you as if you don’t exist; but if she needs her walking cane from the other side of the room, you and her have now become best friends. There is this other supervisor that seems to be suffering from some sort of mid-life crises and she seems to only want to take it out on people that are scared to state their opinion. If you call in sick, there is a chance the hours that you have will be cut down. They employ individuals without telling them about the hours they have to work, or the fact there is a spilt shift. Another example of some of the issues taking place in this company is the workload. They continue to give us more tasks in the mornings and afternoon, but they do not want to give us a raise. They stay in the office chatting about both the employees and the children family business, but they do not want you to take the break that you are allowed…based on the shift’s hours. In fact, there is actually a specific amount of unpaid hours we need to do on a yearly basis in order to keep our job. Short paychecks…Turning down of vacation times, cutting the hours of individuals working hard to help your company. This is not the way to run a successful company. The children will suffer, because they are already. If your employees continue to quit, this will only have domino effect on the children at Kids Come First. WE NEED CHANGE.
